As I'm working to replace the shoes that no longer fit my feet - they grew about a 1/4 size with the birth of Jesse (Mommy still loves you, you fleshy-foot-maker!), I requested this hot pair for my birthday, which Frank purchased over the weekend. He really has it easy. I tell him what I want for my birthday, he agrees, I go and get them and he reimburses me. Not quite the same effect as a fancy box with a big bow, but since the alternative was to wait another two weeks and chance the silver ones selling out, I chose the down and dirty route.
I put them on the second I walked in the door, pranced around the living room for my husband, who said something along the lines of, "Yeah, but my sandwich was good."
I demanded, "Don't you think these shoes are hot?"
Knowing there was a definite right and wrong answer to this question, he responded, "I don't really know about that stuff."
Still looking for the correct response, I tried a different route. "Between a pair of Nike running shoes and these shoes, which are hotter?" I queried.
"Oh, I guess the sandals would be hotter."
I knew it! They. Are. Hot!

I did find a replacement for my favorite embroidered coat. However, I refuse to toss the old one away. I'm convinced that in the future a scientist will find a cure for bad non-seam rips and my coat will have a second chance at life. It's currently rolled in a ball on a shelf in my coat closet. I'll never let go, Jack(et). I'll never let go.
Meanwhile, this one from Bebe is making me feel quite a bit better:

This photo does not do justice to the coat. It is gorgeous and I would never actually belt it that way. It looks fabulous open with a flirty dress and strappy heels.

And then, there's the dress that is seriously on my radar. I ran across this BCBG maxi dress at Nordstrom and I swear, there were fireworks:

Isn't it me? One day, my darling, you too will be mine.

I love it when you threaten to kidnap clothing. Really. The drama!
